The 85-foot tall Maitreya Buddah is made from a single block of sandlewood. I didn't have a lens wide enough to capture the entire figure, so all you can see in the picture is from the ankles to the waist. Temple offerings in the foreground frame the immense statue.
The temple study hall looks like a very pleasant place. It would be interesting to see it when it is full of students.
