Lama Temple

Lama Temple is the most colorful temple in Beijing. Originally a palace, it was converted to a lamasery for Mongolian and Tibetan monks in 1744, when its owner, Count Yin Zhen became Emperor Yongzheng and moved to the Forbidden City. Even today it is one of the most renowned Tibetan temples outside of Tibet.
